OUR PASSION IS THE GMC MOTORHOME
The GMC Motorhome was built by General Motors Truck and Coach Division in Pontiac, Michigan. Over thirteen thousand GMC Motorhomes were built between 1973-1978. As of 2024, over 8,500 are still accounted for and registered with GMC Motorhomes International. Of these, several dozen are owned by members of GMC Dixielanders and are lovingly maintained…and used!
WHO WE ARE
The GMC Dixielanders are a fun spirited group of GMC Motorhome enthusiasts hailing from south of the Mason Dixon line on the Eastern Seaboard of the United States of America. The primary focus of the club is to welcome and support all who own and have a passion for this unique RV.
WHAT WE DO
The "Dixielanders" meet regularly at rallies throughout the region where plenty of good times are had and a wealth of knowledge is shared to keep your GMC looking and running as smooth as it did when it came off the assembly line.
Rallies are jam packed with activities including cook-outs, concerts, tech-talks, craft making, bonfires, wine tastings, regional excursions, sports activities and so much more.
The club is growing and so are the countless friendships being forged year after year as members bond over their experiences owning the classic GMC motorhome. We invite you to join our family and look forward to seeing you out on the road!
BECOMING A MEMBER IS EASY
The cost for first time members is only $35.00* which includes:
- $10.00 for One Years Membership Dues and
- $25.00 for Member Name Badges.

- Login access to the website containing the membership directory, technical resources, and other member-only content.
- The ability to create your own profile on the GMCPC website and share your photographs, video, articles, and thoughts on all things GMC Motorhome
The chapter fiscal year begins and renewals are due by October 1 of each year. Applications received after July 1st will honor membership through the entire following fiscal year.

FRVA (FMCA) MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED
To become a member of GMC Dixielanders, you must first become a member of The Family RV Association (formerly known as The Family Motor Coach Association).
FRVA has issued over 400,000 memberships to families and individuals who find the Association to be a valuable source of information about all facets of motor coach ownership and travel. FRVA’s National Office in Cincinnati, Ohio conducts the business affairs of the association; establishes liaison with the motor coach industry; helps members organize geographic and special interest chapters (almost 300 throughout the United States and Canada); assists in correcting adverse legislation and provides many other worthwhile member services.
